Lindsay Gordon | President & CEO, HSBC Bank Canada

   

Lindsay Gordon is President & CEO of HSBC Bank of Canada. HSBC Bank of Canada is the largest international bank in Canada and is a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Holdings place, one of the world's largest banking and financial services organizations, with operations in over 80 countries and territories around the world.

Mr. Gordon joined HSBC Bank of Canada in 1987 in Toronto and since then has served in a variety of senior positions in both Vancouver and Toronto. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in December 1999 and President & CEO in October 2003. Mr. Gordon holds a BA (1973) and MBA (1976) from the University of British Columbia.

Mr. Gordon serves on a variety of Boards. He is Governor and Co-Founder of the C.H.I.L.D. Foundation, a Governor of the Business Council of BC., a member of the Canadian Council of Chief Executives, Co-Chair of the University of BC Capital Campaign, Director of the UBC Sauder School of Business Centre for CEO Leadership, Director of the Immigration Employment Council of BC, and Director, C D Howe Institute. He is also a past Chair of the Campaign Cabinet, United Way of the Lower Mainland of BC and a past member of the Campaign Cabinet, United Way of Lower Mainland of BC and a past member of the Campaign Cabinet, United Way of Greater Toronto. Mr. Gordon was the 2010 recipient of th B'nai Brith Award of Merit for Outstanding Canadians.

In addition to being a Director of HSBC Bank Canada, Mr. Gordon is Chair of the Board of HSBC Global Asset Management (Canada) Limited.

Mr. Gordon is married to Elizabeth and they have four children.
